Rick Clark's Staff Profile
As Network Services Supervisor, Rick Clark wears many hats and supports many teams at Silo.
“I supervise the tech support team and provide support for the field staff, I support the office staff with some internal IT, I interface with vendors and partners for third party products and solutions, and I am part of the network team, doing things like upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting issues,” he said.
Over 7 years ago now, Rick was doing freelance graphic design and was tired of the grind. He was looking for something steady, had an educational background in networking and saw that Silo was hiring.
“I applied for a field technician position, interviewed and was pleased to be offered a network support position instead,” Rick said.
Since then he’s worked his way to where he is today and feels that there is still room for growth.
“I really enjoy what I am doing now but also look forward to one day having more involvement with the management team and taking on more new and exciting things on the technical front,” he said.
As far as personal goals, Rick is looking forward to teaching his son, Jack how to skate.
Rick’s father taught him at the age of three and he went on to play hockey for 14 years. Rick reminisced, describing experiences that many Ontarians share and cherish.
“I got to travel to practically every town in Ontario and play hockey in all different places,” he explained.
Rick and his wife, Tara plan to give Jack the same opportunity.
