Silo to test new 6G wireless technology on the moon
Silo’s CEO Andreas Wiatowski has partnered with the Canada Space Agency (CSA) on a exhibition to the moon to test new next gen 6G wireless technology.
“This technology has never been tested on earth and could cause interference with our current technology,” he said, “I thought, where is there no mobile infrastructure at all? The moon! We’re going to the moon!”
Andreas made the call to CSA and they were on board.
The trip is planned for April 1st, 2020.
“It’s going to take a long time to pack the equipment needed for this project. Luckily, since there’s no gravity on the moon, we won’t need to build towers. I can just tie the equipment to a rope and
watch it float up into the sky,” Andreas explained.
Not all the details are ironed out but keep on eye on Silo’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more information.
Andreas is not actually going to the moon. 6G does not yet exist. Happy April Fools Day.
